I did this for our annual holiday party. I was inspired in part by a photo I saw here on CC by emmascakes and a display at Starbucks! :) I used iced gingerbread cookies, fondant, and gumpaste (for the posts and snowflakes. It was my first attempt at columns and gumpaste.. I learned a lot!
That is too cute! Very elegant!
Beautiful !
i really like it, great job, I love the snowflakes hanging and good idea with the gingerbread!!!!
Wow, I think that is an amazing first with gumpaste, you must be so proud. They look perfect!!!
Oh, it is so beautiful! Love it!
Thank you! I was proud, although I learned so much because the "posts" kept falling with the weight of the snowflakes. So I learned to let them dry much longer and make the snowflakes much thinner. Thanks for the comments!
Festive and beautiful!
elegant, simply divine!

Great cake how did you attach the posts that holds the snowflake?
The posts are stuck into the cake. Don't make the mistake I did though! I should have stuck straws into the cake and then put the posts into the straws... live and learn! (The posts kept falling out the way I did it!)
