Picnic Basket With Wine Bottle And Fixings
Dark and decadant chocolate torted with oreo cream cheese filling and iced in milk chocolate buttercream done in a basketweave. The vintage wine bottle, grapes, bread and tablecloth are of gumpaste. Thank you to fellow cc members for inspiration, but especially to bbarnes for giving me a heads up on the label and how to make it. This cake was for a neighbor's 60th birthday. He is an avid wine collector, right down to a wine cellar in his house, so he thought the bottle was a hoot!

Very pretty! What did you use on the bottle for the label?
The label is made of rice paper. I printed a photo into my Print Shop, then typed in the wording, applied a "frame" and printed it off. Once it was adhered, I washed it a bit with a paint brush and vanilla extract. That made it look a bit like an older bottle, which was the look I was going for since the birthday boy was 60.
I love this cake and I want to make it for my friends bridal shower/bachlorette party (second marriage). Would you be kind enough to share your secrete on how you made the wine bottle it's self.
The gumpaste is molded over a wine bottle covered with saran wrap and let dry. Lift it off when dry. The green foil top was also gumpaste and was added while the gumpaste was on the bottle.
