nope, i just baked an 8" round and then torted it and sliced it into little wedges and laid them inside around the galss, then filled and then went around again with little wedges of cake, until it was full...

yes, i iced a pretty think layer of icing on the inside of the glass and then layered in the cake and filling...the thick layer of icing is so that once youplace the cake in, you dont see the cake through the icing...

awesome idea! i've always wanted to buy one of those big honkin' glasses -i'd be forced to go the margarita route (and fill it with real margarita) your idea is much more creative! great job!
