This one had serious issues. The fondant sagged horribly, we got lost on our delivery...up and down many steep bumpy roads, it was hot in the car causing the fondant balls to begin to slide off, and to make matters worse, I believe two dowels to have slipped on the bottom tier allowing much more pressure onto the bottom cake. Next time I will transport the tiers separate and assemble upon delivery. Luckily I was able to hide the worst of it in the corner! Design inspired from Ace of Cakes.
Great job - what kind of wire did you use and where do you buy it? I am wanting to do a similar cake.
Aggiecakes...Thank you! I used 18 guage wire that you can find in most craft stores that sell floral supplies...JoAnne's, Michaels, etc.
Still looks stunning! Great design!
beautiful!
I just saw this cake on TV! Love it! Great job!
Even so, your colours and design are terrific.
It makes it look more whimsical by not being completely straight. it's very cute.
I absolutely love this site! You are all so very supportive! Thank you!!!

I love this cake, I know the one your talking about on Ace of Cakes...the one that's in the background when they are talking to the camera?? There's something about that cake that inspires my too. And it really is such a simple design, but very inspiring.
