This was my first wedding cake disaster.  With the help of my SIL I think it recovered nicely.  The cake is alternating layers of white chocolate and cinnamon buttermilk chocolate all with fresh raspberry filling.

Your cornelli lace is beautiful! I'm curious, too, what the disaster was. That was some awesome recovery--I can't tell at all that something went wrong.

Thank you all! Well, I had the top two tiers separate from the bottom two. I hadn't even got to the highway yet and was coming to a stop and the top two fell over!!! :cry: My first disaster ever!! The bottom tier of the top two had slid off the card board. :? :? Not sure how that happened and the fondant stretched something horrible which broke most of the cornelli lace. I had to carefully add another cardboard and trim off the excess fondant. The anniversary tier surprisingly just had a crus...

okay, it just had a crushed RI fleur de lis and a few dents in the fondant. The ribbon was the hardest part to get back on!!!
