The mother originally wanted me to make a 3D tea table cake (like the Wallace & Gromit one in my photos), with all the Simpsons modelled around it, however, her budget was a max of E80, and there was no way I was putting in 12-15 hours of work for that! So, I offered her this instead for half the price and she was happy! Chocolate cake with vanilla buttercream, fondant name and number sprinkled with disco sparkles.

I would love to have done it too, but demand much higher prices for 3D/sculpted cakes with handmade models! I charged E125 for the Wallace & Gromit one, and wouldn't have been happy with any less than E150 for all of the Simpsons and a tea table - the Wallace & Gromit took 12 hours from start to finish and I'm guessing 3 extra figures would have added 2-3 hours on top of that. Long gone are the days when I do this for nothing!
