I had a lot of fun with this cake. Iced in buttercream with fondant mermaid and sea creatures; some candy shells. Inspired by cakes by Liis and notmymum.
Oh, I just used a 12 x 18 sheet; cut the top the size I wanted (so the mermaid would fit on it); and shaped bottom a little and added the extras here and there so as not to waste the cake. Just didn't want a totally square cake.
