Piano is made from three separately baked cakes, with home made buttery cream between the layers and then, when completely chilled, carved into the shape of the piano. Then I covered the cake with a thin layer of marmalade. I used marzipan to cover the sides first, then the top. The piano "lid" was made 3 days earlier, which I made a stencil first and then cut out the lid from marzipan. After it hardened I used thin cardboard as a base. I usedknife to make indentations to separate them and into the indentations I placed keys made from black marzipan that were rolled out and cut into same length.
