In community album: Children's Birthday Cakes
Thanks to Cambo for her tractor cake photo!  This was for a little boy's John Deere party.  The mother wanted to have it all in fondant but pay the buttercream price. . . hence it's done in buttercream!  The tractor is a plastic toy.  All buttercream icing and decorations.  Lots of fun to make!

This is so cute how did you get the buttercream so....smooth. You did a really great job!

Thank you for the compliments!! I put my spatula in a cup of boiling water to heat the blade and smooth. The heat melts the grease in the frosting to smooth it out.
