beautiful job!!! can you share how you did it? looks like a 9in. round layer cake with mni ball pan balls of yarn. i am new to this. what is a sugar gun? thanks for any info, you can supply. :)

All I have to say is OMG!!! :o This has got to be the most realistic cake! It looks so real! Just adorable...should be entered in a contest!!! Into my favs it goes! :wink:

wow, thank you all so much. I have used an 8" oval cake (mud-cake) that I carved into shape. I dont have any filling in it. I made cake balls of the leftovers and a round mould to make the yarn balls. I dont have a mini ball cake pan but it would be just as great. I have used the directions (Playful kitten) from Debbie Browns: 50 easy party cakes to make the balls of yarn. You can see the sugar gun on my site. A great tip when using the sugar gun is to knead the fondant with a small amount of water,

and white fat. Then it is soo easy to push out. The knitting needles is a pair of BBQ sticks painted with edible silver paint and small balls of fondant on top.
