In community album: 2009 Baby Shower Cakes Contest
I was up all night making this cake...but I feel it was worth it! It was created for a western and rubber ducky themed baby shower. The men, women and children were all invited. The tables were decorated in denim with red bandana runners. In the center of the tables were mason jars, decorated with rubber ducks and filled with daisies. So, I got all the elements in the cake. It was a huge hit when I dropped it off!

This is really cute! I know how much work must have gone into it. You should be very happy with the outcome. The water coming out of the pump looks great! I know it's piping gel, but how did you get it to keep its shape like that? amazing!

awesome job! how did you do the pouring water coming out of the pump?
CakesUnleashed 11/11/06 at 9:21pm
Thanks for all the lovely comments. You are very nice. Water pouring from spout is pulled sugar with clear piping gel on it.

Awesome cake!

shannan0007, the pump is actually Rice Krispie Treats shaped around a wooden dowel that was inserted into the cake board. (Not an easy task mind you!) The water going from the spout to the cake is actually pulled sugar with piping gel over it. (My friend owns a candy store and she did the pulled sugar! I, personally, have no clue as to sugar pulling! LOL)
