In album: beauty
This was so hard to make. 12x18 chocolate cake with buttercream icing. My icing wouldn't crust for some reason, so I couldn't smooth it well. Also, the facial details are so small and delicate, I had a terrible time getting it to look right. In the end, I was pleased with all except the eyes - they look kind of goofy. But it was the best I could do! :)

it's always so hard on those figures to get their eyes right! Did you try doing a frozen buttercream transfer? I bet the little girl loved it though! Your writing is awesome!

Thanks! imartsy - I've only done one FBCT (my Star Wars cake) and it seemed harder to me than just doing it this way, but I'm sure the finer details would look better. I may try that next time I have to do a character with a small face! :)
