fruit loop straw cake

I saw these Fruit Loop straws in the cereal aisle at Walmart, and immediately thought they would make a great take on the pirouette cake. I've never done one before, so this was practice for me. I think all the bright colors look nice.

Very nice - and probably cheaper than the pirouettes! I spent $25 on those darn cookies to make my pirouette cake! lol. Well done!

for sure! they are $2 a box and I used 2 boxes on this 6" square cake.

Thank goodness you bought them as sticks - could you imagine stacking each color of Froot Loop on a stick? It turned out great!

OOOHHHHH.....do they make the "cocoa puff" or "Cocoa Pebbles" into these straws, too??? If they do, that would be a GREAT find......and the chocolate straws could be used in place of pirouettes for a more classic look! GREAT DISCOVERY eatsleepdreamcake!!! :D
