Chocolate Doll

Chocolate Doll on Cake Central

This doll was made as a display for the Chocolate Festival in Norman. I was judging, so I couldn't enter. It was made with white chocolate fondant and white chocolate and dark chocolate candy clay. It was the first doll I had made besides doll cakes with dolls stuck in the cake.

I made a mold of the head with an angel head, used a skewer to hold the head onto a styrofoam cone, painted the face and then added hair. For the skirt I built a frame with chocolate transfer plastic. I used white chocolate fondant to make the skirt, bodice, and shawl. The flowers are just the six petal cutters. I even used the six petal cutters to cut the leaves. This piece took quite a while and I had a lot of flaws to cover. :)
