Buttercream icing - got idea from another on CC. I had 3 cakes to do in one night. This one was the last and it was for our neighborhood Halloween party. So it got rushed, but I think it still came out ok. I freehanded the pattern and then my 18 month old decided to help at one point when my back was turned. I think I covered it well... unless you look closely. :)
