This cake was indpired by a cake done by Tammy Moore. It was for a little girls Halloween Birthday Party! Covered in Fondant and air brushed black. All the figures are made from Gumpaste or Fondant. It took a lot of time but was so fun!
The dragon is molded from fondant. I actually had to use some internal support so I used a ball of tin foil. The body is molded in with just the tail. I roll a ball out and pinch the tail out. Stand up. Arms and legs are made from four pieces. To make toes and fingers I just press in the flat side of a knife. I wet and a attatch to body. Head is one piece plus ears and eyes
i love the entire cake but the dragon really caught my eye. i have never made anything without a mold but i need to learn how to make "piglet" before february. what do you suggest?
I actually just made a piglet for a pooh cake!! I made mine from fondant. Super easy actually. I made the arms and legs and let them dry so they could be inserted. The cake is on my website--you can Pm if you do not see it!
