My First Tiered Wedding Cake - Fondant With Royal Icing Details & Fresh Flowers

My First Tiered Wedding Cake - Fondant With Royal Icing Details & Fresh Flowers on Cake Central

My first tiered wedding cake - was very happy with the way it came out - although the florist did not send through enough flowers and the clients brief to me was all white flowers so that was a bit of a shock. my biggest worry was that the cake would collpase - but am happy to report it remained standing for the entire wedding! (This bride is having 3 weddings - don't ask its a traditional thing!) and this cake had to be detachable so each layer can be handed to family members in a month.

Wow. Very nice. I even like the flowers. What kind of wedding tradition is that? Never heard of it. I have my first wedding to do at the end of the month. I have so much anxiety, you won't believe.

Very beautiful and elegant. I like the flowers strewn about. Are the royal icing details the border? Wow. So the cake has to last through 3 weddings? :)

Thanks so much - My nerves were completely shot by the end of it all - I had 5 nights in a row with 2 hours sleep - never mind 5 other orders for the same week!! The detail is royal icing - which I now absolutely love - so quick and economical. All in all I was happy because the cake did not collapse and the bride was happy. :D
