Halloween Cookies

Halloween Cookies on Cake Central

I made these cookies using the cutters I got from Michaels in the big tub for $9.99. They are my favorite Betty Crocker sugar cookies with royal icing.

They are wonderful! Any tips on doing royal icing on cookies? Do you just have a thin RI and sort of flood the cookie? and then thicker for the details??

Thanks everyone. I just use the Wilton royal icing recipe. As for tips, make your RI, tint it with color, and get it to the consistancy you want (full strength for details, or the drizzle marks disappear at the count of ten) then let it sit on the counter over night. The next day all the bubbles will rise to the top. Gently stir them out and it's ready to use.
