These took forever and a day to bake and ice. A co worker ordered 72 of them. I think I'll just make them for my grandson when I get in the mood to make cookies!
I only charged $1.25 each. Way too low but he is a coworker. My area won't support much more than that. They were alot of fun but I work 40 hours a week so they took time away from my family and evening recoop time. Pam from Bama
These look great. I make similar cookies which are very time consuming. Pricing is always a question with me? A bakery worker told me that's why many bakeries no longer bake cookies... not cost effective. Any ideas on what a "fair price" p/cookie would be? Again, they are great.
but they sure are cute! I made a BUNCH for a Fall Fest and they charged 50 cents for 2 small ones--eek! I knew they would charge little since it was a carnival and I enjoyed doing it(my therapy--lol). Plus people asked if I would make them some if they paid me. I said sure but they'd be more than 50cents!
$1.25 is waaaay too low of a price! I charge about $3.00 or $4.00 for each cookie! If you look at Starbucks or Seattles Best Coffee, they charge almost $5.00 for each decorated cookie! And those cookies aren't nearly as good! You need to ask for more per cookie. I KNOW how long it takes to do 6 dozen cookies - that is a LOT of work.
Wow....that is a lot of cookies. I too have a hard problem with charging but since I've started cookies I do realize that I must be paid for my time. Great job on all those cookies. This is going into my favorites.
