Gorgeous! How do you get your buttercream so smooth?

Thanks! I hv a different method of getting buttercream on the cake. Basically, i add more sugar till it becomes like fondant consistency , so i am able to paste it on the the cake & pat it till thin. It is a little more sweet but , i put on a really thin layer, so its just nice. Not too thin , thill u can see the cake though.
