Thanks for all the wonderful feedback!! All of the roses were trimmed and placed directly into the cake. Some of the petals were pulled off and placed along the edge. I had some icing and my tips with me to "fix" and finger touches and just did the touch up around the areas where the roses & petals were places. The roses were buds that I took my finger and placed it in the center and kind of run it around the inside of the bud to open it up some. Good luck!! :)
