Halloween Cake ( Front View )

Halloween Cake ( Front View ) on Cake Central

I just finished an advanced wedding cake class. Instead of taking a wedding cake for my final class I decided to do something to get myself into the halloween spirit. The cake is covered in buttercream and the halloween cutouts are fondant.

I love the halloween theme! The colors look great. For the cut outs, did you use cookie cutters or freehand them?

This is too cute! Doing a cake this weekend and I am using the pumpkins also, did you use dowels under pumpkins for support. I plan to , just curious if anybody else has.

Yes I used hidden pillars under and had to cut holes out of the bottoms of the miniature treat or treat buckets so they would sit on top of the cake and the dowels could go through them........but as you can see I didnt make an impression before sticking the dowels inside the cake thats why the little support legs are sorta sitting to the side of the pumpkins cause my holes werent lined up just right.
