A Mini Birthday Cake

A Mini Birthday Cake on Cake Central

It's a small cake. I was asked by an 80 year old woman to make it for her daughter in law to whom her son is no longer married to , but she stil loves her very much. The flowers are sugar paste flowers.

I keep going back to your cake! See, I had a Father in Law who was this special to me such as this customer's DIL. This is just special. Such an elegant cake, what size pan did you make? Very intimate and personable. Luv it. :princess:

Gorgeous! I'm pleased to see you used the heart crimper. I have one, but was holding off b/c I wasn't sure how it would look. Now that I've seen yours, I'm going to go for it (and hope it looks as good when I do it!). Your flowers are beautiful as well!

a heart crimper is a crimper in the shape of a heart. We use it to make decorations in the shape of little harts.

Thank you all for your warm comments. As for the colors, these are dust colors and I dusted the top with some pearl dust. The size of the pan is 20.

I'd like to add - I painted the paste eith pink for the roses and when dried I added some dust colour with a dry brush.I also used the pearl dust for the white flowers.
