Luau Birthday
this cake was for a little girl haing a hawaiian luau themed birthday. The decorations were inspired by a user on this site, subaru's, Hawaiian themed cake. It is a 12 inch round on the bottom, 8 inch round on top. flowers are all royal icing, palm trees are gumpaste and royal icing. Everything else is either buttercream or piping gel.
Oh forgot to say that the seashells are white chocolate with a dusting of luster dust.

Hoe did you get your Hibisicis flowers so shiny? and HOW did you make them!!! These are my favorite flowers!!!! I love this cake, into my fav's!!
Thanks everyone! The hibiscus are made just like a petunia except using a 104 tip instead of a 103 tip and just inserting one stamen. they are shiny because they are sprinkled with cake sparkles.

That is a gorgeous cake! I love all the Hawaiian details and the way you added the straw 'skirts' on each tier. The top tier is gorgeous (sorta makes me wish I was sitting on top of that cake! :o )
