Birthday Cake for Veterinarian who loves Crown Royal. Originally it was for a Tequilla bottle, but order changed at last minute. Cake Drum is MMF and all accents are also MMF. Thank you to JennLitton for your help with candy/mold recipe and instruction for my glasses!!! :)
Wow! That's unbelievable!! Is the bottle candy too?
Great job! Where's the cake? Either way, great attention to detail!.
How cool, where did you get the molds form can i ask?

oh my i just realized. The bottle is the cake! That's crazy. I thought it was made of pure sugar too. You did such a great job of painting it! It looks like a sugar sculpture.
Thank you for the compliments. The cake was iced with a golden yellow buttercream and then I mixed yellow piping gel with a little brown and iced it with that to give it a "glass" bottle look. The "cap" is made up of 3 sections made of fondant and put together. I tried to do a buttercream transfer for the label (need some extra practice w/that one!) LOL!
Oh, aussienyankie...I forget to mention, I found molds on-line that were silicon which would be better to use but JennLitton said that she saw them at "Linens and Things" so that Is were I got them. They are plastic and are actually used to freeze ice in the shape of shot glasses and then you can actually fill the ice glasses with liquor. I used the molds for the hard candy recipe instead. Worked out o.k.! :)
excellent, I can almost taste it.
Great job on the cake. How did you build the bottle? Did you use cakes from a loaf pan?
Yes, I made 3 giant marble cake loafs and stacked, filled, carved...etc..it was actually pretty fun! :D
You did an incredible job on this one! Looks awesome! Love the details in the bottle and its "cover
