1St Birthday Cake
For a 1st birthday. My first square cake - and it wasn't easy! The picture shows all my mistakes - rough corners, uneven - although it looked a lot cuter in person. Also, I made the letters a little too big, so I had to scrunch them on. Square cakes stink!!!!! :) My inspiration was from the new Confetti Cakes book - I love that book!

The letters are such a cute addtion to the cake.
Thanks. The letters and polka dots are gumpaste. Then I leaned the letters against the cake with a little BC to make them stick. I also put the polka dots on the letters with BC after I put them on the cake - although in retrospect I should have used royal icing.
