Pumpkin Cake

Pumpkin Cake on Cake Central

I thought everyone elses pumpkin cakes were so cuter I had to try one. The cake was a heavy pumpkin-ginger baked in two bunt pans, carved a bit. Fondant was too soft and tore a bit, but I covered it up easily with the tendrils/leaves. Hubby wanted me to paint the groves, all I had was ivory.. I'm posting both pics.

Thanks, I just baked 2 bunt pans, filled them with an icing ring of course. Refrig. and then trimed a few spots that weren't adding up. Iced really lightly in an up and down motion, covered in orange fondant, pokeda hole in the center, filled middle with a few cake scrapes, made a disk if brown to cover center and stick stem to. Icing it was the hardest, but this was not iced smooth but that added to it's authenticity.
