Sleepover Cake
SEVERAL of you inspired this one. This was my first time for fondant heads and figures (or body parts!!) and I had a GREAT time making it. I put fondant through my (clean) garlic press to make the hair! This was a 10" cake that could have been a lot bigger-I almost ran out of room and put the girl's name on the side.
Adorable! I know a lot of little girls who would love this one!
Love the popcorn and pizza! - Great Job
Thank you-my daughter's favorite is the food too!
Very cute! You did a good job on the modeling, I especially like the girl in the green sleeping bag. The pizza looks delish.
That is one cute cake. What wonderful imagination! Great job making the sleepy girls.
Fabulous cake. No matter what size the cake, this is just what a sleepover is like! Great work.
Fabulous!
love your sleepover cake, the girls are so cute! would you mind sharing how you did the faces, especially the eyes. they look perfect!!
Pizza, Popcorn, and giggles sounds like a great sleepover. As the mother of six girls I can tell you this is what it looks like. Great job a very cute cake
Thank you for all your nice comments! This was a first for me, so I'm learning as I go. I just shaped the heads out of fondant/gumpaste mix and poked indentions for the eyes and lips. When they dried, I used Americolor white on a toothpick first, then mixed a little pink with water to do the cheeks. I painted the lips red, then went back and colored the eyes. I have since done it with edible marker that works fairly well, after the white is done. Mommaofseven-BLESS YOU!!!
Fantastic!
wonderful cake!!!
Came out super great. Thanks for sharing. I was hoping to see the finished product.
Awesome cake!
they look great! I love the details on everything!
:D ;-D just adorable!
Terrific cake! I too love the pizza and popcorn, though it's all wonderful! And I love that all but one of the girls at the "sleepover" has her eyes wide open :)
Thanks for the tip about the garlic press!!!
