Tiara For Baby Girl Cake

I used the template I found under "tiara". I used royal icing and overpiped it twice. I dusted it with "cotton candy" dust and added the dragees. It was the focal point of a baby shower cake I made. I took this picture about 1 hour before I had to deliver the cake. I had carried the tiara around my house for 3 days without incident. As soon as I finished taking the picture, I bumped into the table and it broke! I tried to fix it, but the more I fixed it, it kept breaking! Joys of decorating...

Thanks! I got the template and instructions for this under "galleries", then go to "sketches / patterns / templates." Search for "tiara template" You should have no problem finding it!

I got the curve by taping the pattern to a round container. I used an empty shortening container. Then you cover the pattern with wax paper or parchment paper and pipe over it. It dries in that shape. You just have to be careful removing it!

I love your tiara. Is the cotton candy dust how you got the pink on the tiara? I bought some pink dust the other day but apparently didn't use it correctly because you can't see it at all :? The dragees are a great touch!
