Indian Wedding Cake
This was a disaster! It was supposed to be 5 tiers high, but The bride had a small budget, so the top 3 were dummies. This would have been okay if the "lovely" Wilton scroll separators were made to hold up the cakes! The DJ put a wall of speakers right next to the cake table so the whole thing shook! I ended up putting 1 tier on the table. The bride wanted the "coach" look - hence the horses... no idea if it lasted with the 450 + guests! All fondant scrolls, medallions, beaded border.
It's gorgeous!
How did they feed all those guests on two tiers? Your work is awesome! I love the entire thing!
It's so beautiful! I love the fondant scrolls and the gorgeous medallions. Sure doesn't look like a "small budget" cake to me. Lucky bride!
forgot to add flavors - only bottom two were cake - almond scented butter cake - one with mango and strawberry IMBC and the other had mango and orange IMBC fillings.
this is utterly amazing, i have added it to my favoits
I think this is an absolutely Beautiful cake. I love the design and the colors on it. Great job. This is the first cake I will add tomy favorites list!
Very nice. I'm sure she loved it. The medallions are too elegant. :)
This is a stunning cake! You did a fantastic job. I don't understand "a small budget and 450+ guests" though
If that is a dissaster I want to have some of those in my portfolio! Beautiful, gorgeous, amazing!
thanks for all the compliments ladies! The bride and groom never even served the cake... all they kept saying at the tasting was "People are only going to drink and dance..." so that's why it only had 2 real tiers. I did charge my normal $6.50 a slice for the 50 ppl count they gave me and charged $50 per dummy cake. Still not thrilled with the final cost versuses the amount of time invested in it (especially the 2 hours spent at the venue!)
This is just breath taking.....gotta add to my favs
