Cake was done for a couple who was having twins...They let us go with the fun and so we thought it cute to have it look like the cake was squishing the stork! Mom to be loved it and said that is exactly how she felt! Fondant on both layers;pacifiers made ahead of time and let crust over to stay up. Stork was styrofoam covered in royal and other sugar parts and then "glued" to the board before cake was set on.

HAha, it was for 25-30 people, but they wanted lots of leftovers! I actually wasnt sure of the idea at first, it was my business partners...I was afraid it would be offensive to the Mom to be, but warmed up to the idea and it was fine! Thank goodness!

Thanks so much for such nice comments! It was a whimsy cake, and for the stork it was mainly covered in royal or gumpaste....lots of cut out feathers for the wings and head!

SO CUTE! What did you use to cut out the storks feathers? Is it a daisy cutter? ALso how did you attach the feathers on the wing? Did you just layer? I know tons of questions, but I just love this idea.
