Chocolate Tiaras

Chocolate Tiaras on Cake Central

I know that this is not a cake but I wasn't sure where exactly to put this. My first attempt at making a tiara. I made it out of white chocolate. I went over it about 2 times 3 in some places. But, it kept crumbling. I read somewhere here it has to been done about 4 or 5 times.

Thank you. I got the template from here in the gallery. I later found a lot of forums covering the topic. If done with chocolate or royal I believe you have to reapply about 4 or 5 times to keep them sturdy.

Noreen816 I got the template from the gallery section. You will have to make it bigger on a copier to the size you want. I traced it darker, taped it on an ice tea can, taped a piece of wax paper on it. Melted my chocolate, put it in a bag with a #2 tip and traced away. I learned you have to go over it about 4 or 5 times each time after it hardens. Hope that helps.

The tiara looks beautiful! I just made one the other day for the first time. Your chocolate looks like it might be a little thin in spots, you may want to apply it thicker. I did 3 layers and it held together well. Nice job on yours!
