Bluebonnet (Stages)
This flower was featured in the most recent version of "American Cake Decorating", and is our state flower so I just couldn't wait to try it! Not difficult, but very time consuming, as I do not work with gumpaste on a regular basis and each flower is made up of 20 to 30 pieces!!!
wow..they are really pretty..just started a gumpaste course and feel "all thumbs"..great job!!
That's a lot of work! Nicely done!
They look great. I read through the directions and it obviously would be very time consuming.
Oh cool. I was just looking at this wondering how long it took.
The centers are very easy to make, as well as the petals. BUT, I have been working on these for about 4 hrs so far and I am no where near done! Still need to assemble and airbrush 7 of 10 flowers I am making! (But, I am slow...once you get into a rthym, it's not too bad!) The assembly goes pretty quick once you get the hang of it! But for 10 flowers I had to make 200 individual petals, and then go back and put a "hood" on 150 of them!
oh my, they are very pretty. I can hardly wait to see them on a cake
That looks pretty difficult to me, but worth it when it's the Texas State Flower! Love them!
