This is a traditional cake from Croatia. The cake is just walnuts, eggs and sugar .

The frosting is eggs and sugar cooked over a double boiler and then when it cools, mixed in with creamed butter - it's beyong yummy, but it was the first time I piped with it or used it as a "frosting" verus just a filling and the top of the cake. Next time I won't assemble a cake at 2 am and it will turn out better.

The leaves are chocolate over maple leaves - won't do that again either too bitter
