Baby Booties In Blue

Baby Booties In Blue on Cake Central

I just love these little booties. They are so easy to make and they are so adorable. I tried my hand at "Broderie Anglais" before assembling the booties. Not bad for a first try. Bottom tier of cake was the White Almond Sour Cream Cake with Reaspberry Filling, top tier was Chocolate Butter Cake with Chocolate Bavarian Cream and crushed Andes Mints Filling.

If I'm not mistaken there is a pattern for the booties in the sketches/patterns category in the gallery. I purchased my bootie cutters from Global Sugar Art. I think they were $9 or so but I have gotten my money's worth. With the cutters they are so easy. I just mix half gumpaste, half fondant, cut and mold then let dry for 2-3 days. After they dry I dust with super pearl dust then pipe some royal icing lace around the top using a 1S or a 1L tip (very small).

I really love this one. The blue is perfect!! Plus, the multiple colors of blue flowers with the dots is fantastic. The cut outs in the booties are great too!!!
