This is the first mermaid cake I've done, it was fun! I added light blue sugar sprinkles to the tail for an almost irridescent effect. Then, at the base I used some cool glitter blue piping gel (by Wilton, comes in a squeezy tube) for the water. The little girl was thrilled, and I was pretty darn pleased myself. LOL
