Dora

Dora on Cake Central

This was my first attempt at a BCT. I liked having it done ahead of time, however I was suprised that the black bc started to bleed a bit. Anyone have this problem?

This is a great BCT. I have also had problems with the black running after you refrigerate it. I think it's best to not refrigerate cakes with black if possible..

I find all of my pictures by doing a yahoo search on free coloring pages/ whatever character you need. To be honest I got the directions on this site in the tutorial section. There were great directions! But just for a quick idea, print a picture and cover with wax paper. I outlined it with black buttercream and then filled in with the colored bc. I kept peeking underneath to make sure that it was filling in without air bubbles. Freeze on something flat. I think this took 1 hour. Invert and peel!

Where did you get the picture?? I love it. You did such an awesome job. I would like to try a bct of spongebob for my neices b-day this weekend. How do you do it???

Thanks! If you go into the article section and look for buttercream transfers, you'll find how to freeze a design. It's really very easy.
