This was my first wedding cake, done for a wedding last Sunday. The gumpaste flower was inspired from a piece of fabric provided by the bride. It was really fun to do!

Thanks! Imartsy - I actually just freehanded a pattern for the petals and leaves and then cut them out with a knife. Couldn't find a cutter big enough, although I'm sure they're out there somewhere.

Very nice. I see you have buttercream forsting? with the ribbon. Did you put the ribbon on after stacking? This was what someone told me and I wondered if it was easier? I have a wedding cake to do this weekend and we are doing buttercream with black satin ribbon around each layer. Thanks angmwiseman@yahoo.com
