Frangapanni Cake
I have been doing cakes for about 12 years and never had one fall apart on me untill this one. As I was setting it up all the piping around base of cake fell off. I had to do a repair job there and then. I was 8 months pregnant, and thought I would have the baby there I was freaking out so much.All ended well though ,baby stayed in..haha.........This is my favourite cake of all time. I love frangapannies.
The flowers are superb. Very subtle shading.
This is beautiful. I have a cake to do for August that requires the frangie pangie and I can not find a tutorial on how to make them. Did you do them freehand or did you use a cutter. I would really appreciate your help if it's not a secrete! :D
to answer your question omaida I used a cutter and if you send me your email address I will send you the instructions how to make them. They come from a book by Gail Dorter, Cutter class flowers for australian cake decorating.Very good book but its pretty old.my email is [email protected]. Thanks for you comments. :P
