I am pretty pleased with how this cake turned out, considering (as usual) the pan instructions were wrong. I can understand how people might get frustrated with cake decorating when the companies that design the pan can't even get the instructions right.

I love what you did with the sides of the cake -- it looks so much nicer than the border on the pan instructions!
Thanks! I like doing the sides that way because then I don't have to worry about icing it smooth, and you would never be able to tell that the cake is uneven
