Donation For Habitat For Humanity
This cake is a 1/2 sheet vanilla cake with vanilla butter cream. Accents are fondant *used candy molds*, and painted with paste colors, pearl and luster dusts. Image is FBCT. Image hadn't yet "dried" in this photo. Looked much better an hour later. :) The volunteers really enjoyed it.
I lightly sprayed the candy molds with veg. spray, just in case they would stick. I immediately unmolded them, and let them dry on parchment paper.
Love, love, love the tools!! I was wondering if you could use candy molds that way - did you prepare them a certain way to make sure they didn't stick? Did you let them dry before unmolding them?
