Sleeping Beauty Birthday Cake

Everything is edible, Beauty is chocolate, her dress and all accents are gumpaste. The bed is cake and the large cake she is laying on is half chocolate cake with peanut butter filling and icing and the other half is yellow cake with strawberry cheesecake filling, covered in fondant.

Thanks! For her face I have a mold I bought from Sculpey, but I add more of a nose and cheeks. I just use luster dusts and Americolor gels to paint on the details.

You did an awesome job. Makes me think of Disney's sleeping Beauty. I cannot believe everything is edible. This is one cake I would hate to cut into. 8O

This is such a beautiful and imaginative cake. Your characters are so life-like. You really have a great talent for this! :D

GREAT job, Stephivey! The colors, the details, it's all fantastic! I'm a huge Disney-file, and this, pardon the expression, takes the cake!!! ;-D

I used the fondant fairy tutorial on this site, but opted for chocolate instead of fondant. It hardens quicker and you can join it to itself without a seam.

I painted her eyelashes on with an artists brush and I used Americolor super black for paint. Thanks to all of you!
