"you've Come A Long Way, Baby" Cake - Updated
My client fell in love with a version of this cake from the mid 80's - but the older one had stairs, a satelite cake for the baby and the figurines were made of gumpaste. This wouldn't have done as the party was on a boat!! So, the 3 tiers of dark chocolate cake and raspberry Italian meringue buttercream filling were lined to resemble stairs. The girls are from Hallmark's Growing Up Girls collection (even the Grad). I made all of the gumpaste roses, hydrangeas and leaves.
GORGEOUS!!!!!
