The edges are frilled with a cocktail stick or frilling pin. You could even use a barbeque skewer. Make sure the flowerpaste is very thinly rolled out and have the petal on the edge of the pad or board and just roll the skewer firmly backwards and forwards quite quickly. Once you have had a practice it is quite easy. Makes lovely sweet peas.
