Patriotic Anniversary

Patriotic Anniversary on Cake Central

Cake was for a couple celebrating their 37th anniversary (which is July 3rd). Customer wanted something really special for her sister who is terminal and BIL . It was important to me to do something good and when I came across nanuk's cake on CC I just knew I had to try it. My cake is the scaled down version of her piece of absolute perfection. White cake on base, Carrot cake on top...and boy it was hard to level that thing with all the nuts and raisins!!!!

Thanks guys! I forgot to mention that there was one more star that I added after it was delivered. You probably noticed the bare spot on the front right side. One big red star that had the Anniversary greeting & their names. It overlapped the blue streamers which is why there isn't another small star there.

and you did not have any problem with it bouncing around or drooping? i just worry that the fondant decos would weigh it down.? thanks

sorry, just wanted to ask again. what type of wire did you use so that it would curl like that and not droop. looks great

Sorry! I forgot to answer. I just bought it in the floral dept at the craft store- 18 ga.- I've also used 20 ga. (the higher the number the thinner the wire).
