This cake was made for a young lady that wanted a very simple wedding. I think it turned out nice except that the table it was setup on had mirrors and so it throws a shadow on the upper layers. The bride was very happy and she sent some business my way, so I am happy

Nice job! I know what you mean about mirrors.. I have a cake in my photos that had a mirror under it and it did the same .. it's very beautiful at the wedding but doesn't photo well lol

thanks so much. I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one thats experienced this. Next time I'll throw something over those darn mirrors

beautiful cake!! but how did you get the ribbon to stay on without it getting all moist??

well the ribbon was like a mesh type ribbon, not satin or anything so I think it allowed the air to flow through so it breathed and didn't get moist looking
