Tool Box Cake
This was a cake for celebrating the life of a very special man. His family held a memorial get-to-gether and my friend asked me to make this cake. I was so happy that it turned out the way I had pictured it in my mind. Thank you for looking!

Yes, all cake and icing. The tools are fondant and candy melts - everything is edible.

Forgot to say that the vice grips and the red handled pliers are candy melts poured in a mold. All the other tools are hand molded from fondant. The duct tape is rice krispies covered in fondant, and the tube of liquid nails is fondant with an edible image label. I used clear vanilla and gel coloring to paint the wood grain on the bottom cake.

Grammasue, this is totally awesome!! I got a call this afternoon for this exact theme! Do you mind if I use your idea? I'm not good with fondant, so it definitely wouldn't be this good. But I would love to try a reasonable facsimile!
I was just supposed to do a similiar themed cake(Home Depot box) I had already made the tools and then she changed her mind and wanted a set of "boobs"! Go figure. Great job! Iwas looking forward to doing one!
