Choc. Straw Grooms Cake

Choc. Straw Grooms Cake on Cake Central

Did this as a two tier 8 and 12 in. sq. covered in choc. fondant. Did the bow out of fondant and lustered the bow and the other gold trim with Gold Sparkle Dust. Made the box lid from the choc fondant also. Added old gold colored dragees to the quilting on the bottom tier. Dipped strawberrys finish this one of.

yes I want to eat them too....its winter here and they are soooo expensive and tasteless if you can even get them! Just beautiful!

thanks for the lovely compliments, the strawberries smelled so good when we put it together that my business partner and I were starving:) maisza, the lid is just made out of fondant and dried on a sq. pan the size of the cake, when it was dry enough to hold the shape (approx. 2 days) I took it off the pan so it could finish drying. Swingme83 I get my premade choc fond. from Satin Ice; kerrierichards, actually all the strawberries were placed so carefully on top of each other that they didn't need...

My granddaughter is getting married next year, and this is definitely an idea for her fiance's groom cake.
