Ballroom Dancing Theme
This groom's cake was made for a friend who is a ballroom dance instructor. To personalize this cake, I created "dance steps" in white gumpaste and attached them to this chocolate kahlua cake using white icing as glue. I used purchased top hat, cane, musical notes and phonograph record. I did customize the label on the record to show the couple's first names and their wedding date. The groom ate one bite of his wedding cake and inhaled a 4 inch wedge of the cake I baked for him.

Thanks - I actually had a hard time finding a cutter for the shoes... I finally found what looked like a little kid's sneaker print clay cutter and pinched it to narrow it to look more like a grown-up shoe print. I thought the dance steps would be fun for an instructor's cake...I had to tell him though that he'd probably recognize that they are not at all the steps to any known dance (on this planet anyway)
