Flip Flop Cake
This was my first attempt a ta flip flop cake. i got the idea for the beeded straps from another cake on here. i decided it would add a little extra to it to use the letter beads to spell out the happy birthday :) i was upset with the icing because I COULD NOT GET IT SMOOTH! other than that i thought it turned out cute, and enjoyed making it. yellow cake with buttercream icing.

did you shape it by hand and how many layers
i traced my flip flop onto a piece of paper, then that onto another piece of paper (to keep it clean) and then traced it onto the cake. i used a 9x13 cake and traced the flip flop twice on it and then stacked them onto one another. there was very few scraps left over with a sixe 8 1/2 flip flop :)
I like the way you used the textured towel to smooth the top of the flip flop! The beads are a cute touch.
